North Seattle Education Fair Coming Up Quick

The Fairview PTF will be hosting a new Education Fair in North Seattle to help parents connect with not only K-8 private schools, but also local activity groups like Little League Baseball, Football, etc type sports as well as music lessons and choirs, art classes and other offerings.  The event is scheduled for January 28th and we’re working hard to get the word out to all the groups that would fit into this type of event to see if they’d be interested in participating.  Check back soon on the webpage http://ptf.fcsseattle.org/events/education-fair/ for printable flyers that you can give out to possible schools/businesses as well as to other parents.

Greenwood Seafair Parade

Join us for the Greenwood Seafair Parade, Wed., July 27th. The parade begins at 6:00pm. We need help making a float, and students and parents to march along with us. The theme this year is “Greenwood Takes Flight.” We can take advantage of this to promote our soaring Fairview Eagles.

Contact Jen Laible with ideas, donations, and/or desire to march alongside us.

Roll-Out of Scrip Program

FCS will be starting to sell gift cards in which we earn a percentage of the sales. This fundraiser will be rolled out at the Science Fair Spaghetti Feed. Korin Sandelin will do a short introduction/presentation that evening. Also, she should have some cards on hand, and be ready to take orders.

Sunflower Fundraiser

FCS kids planted 186 sunflower plants last week! They will be ready to purchase in 6-8 weeks. They are planning to sell for $3 each or 2/$5. The kids had a great time planting them, with the help of Tori, Nicole (Tori’s daughter), and Jenn.

25th Anniversary Celebration, May 14th

Save the date – May 14th – for Fairview Christian School’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. We are still in the works of planning exactly what the party will entail, but it’s likely we will do a BBQ in the parking lot with fun games to play. Contact Sheila Reid if you would like to assist in the planning.

Update to Red Tricycle Fundraiser

A few weeks ago I sent out a fundraising request to sign up for the Red Tricycle email newsletter. Fairview receives $1 for every person who signs up for their bi-weekly publication and keeps it through the end of March. As of this week, we have 19 people who have signed up. The instructions Red Tricycle gave were a little bit confusing, so here are new, easy instructions on how to sign up if you haven’t done so already. Don’t forget to type “Fairview Christian” in the referred by box.

 Go to http://www.redtri.com/newsletter-signup

  • Enter your email address.
  • Type “Fairview Christian” in the “referred by” box.
  • Check the publications you would like to receive.

The more people who sign up, the more money we earn, so feel free to pass this info. on to other parents in Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Portland, and Los Angeles.

Red Tricycle Fundraiser

Please help us with an easy way to make money for our school: sign up for the Red Tricycle e-newsletter. For every subscriber, Fairview earns $1 at the end of the program, which is March 31. Red Tricycle is a free bi-weekly email newsletter that offers parents tips on things to see, eat, make, and do with your kids in Seattle.

Sign up for free at www.redtri.com, click on the blue circle on the left that says “sign up,” and put Fairview Christian in the “Referred by” box. It’s as simple as that, and pass the news on to Seattle friends and family! This is a very easy way for us to make some money.
